Chapter 55
ﺮﻘﻔﻟا ﻞﻀﻓو ﺎﻬﻨﻣ ﻞﻠﻘﺘﻟا ﻰﻠﻋ ﺚﺤﻟاو ﺎﻴﻧﺪﻟا ﻲﻓ ﺪهﺰﻟا ﻞﻀﻓ بﺎﺑ
Excellence of Leading an Ascetic Life, and Virtues of Simple Life
Allah, the Exalted, says:
ْرَﻷا ُتﺎَﺒَﻧ ِﻪِﺑ َﻂَﻠَﺘْﺧﺎَﻓ ِءﺎَﻤﱠﺴﻟا َﻦِﻣ ُﻩﺎَﻨْﻟَﺰﻧَأ ٍءﺎَﻤَآ ﺎَﻴْﻧﱡﺪﻟا ِةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا ُﻞَﺜَﻣ ﺎَﻤﱠﻧِإ
اَذِإ َﻰﱠﺘَﺣ ُمﺎَﻌْﻧَﻷاَو ُسﺎﱠﻨﻟا ُﻞُآْﺄَﻳ ﺎﱠﻤِﻣ ِ
ض
ْوَأ ًﻼْﻴَﻟ ﺎَﻧُﺮْﻣَأ ﺎَهﺎَﺗَأ ﺂَﻬْﻴَﻠَﻋ َنوُرِدﺎَﻗ ْﻢُﻬﱠﻧَأ ﺎَﻬُﻠْهَأ ﱠﻦَﻇَو ْﺖَﻨﱠﻳﱠزاَو ﺎَﻬَﻓُﺮْﺧُز ُ
ضْرَﻷا ِتَﺬَﺧَأ
نَﺄَآ اًﺪﻴِﺼَﺣ ﺎَهﺎَﻨْﻠَﻌَﺠَﻓ اًرﺎَﻬَﻧ
ُﻧ َﻚِﻟَﺬَآ ِﺲْﻣَﻷﺎِﺑ َﻦْﻐَﺗ ْﻢﱠﻟ
َنوُﺮﱠﻜَﻔَﺘَﻳ ٍمْﻮَﻘِﻟ ِتﺎَﻳﻵا ُﻞﱢﺼَﻔ

"Verily, the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky; so by it
arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat: until when the earth is clad in its
adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our
Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished
yesterday! Thus, do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, laws, etc.) in
detail for the people who reflect.''
(10:24)
َﺒْﺻَﺄَﻓ ِ
ضْرَﻷا ُتﺎَﺒَﻧ ِﻪِﺑ َﻂَﻠَﺘْﺧﺎَﻓ ِءﺎَﻤﱠﺴﻟا َﻦِﻣ ُﻩﺎَﻨْﻟَﺰﻧَأ ٍءﺎَﻤَآ ﺎَﻴْﻧﱡﺪﻟا ِةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا َﻞَﺜﱠﻣ ﻢُﻬَﻟ ْبِﺮْﺿاَو
ُحﺎَﻳﱢﺮﻟا ُﻩوُرْﺬَﺗ ﺎًﻤﻴِﺸَه َﺢ
اًرِﺪَﺘْﻘﱡﻣ ٍءْﻲَﺷ ﱢﻞُآ ﻰَﻠَﻋ ُﻪﱠﻠﻟا َنﺎَآَو

ْﻧﱡﺪﻟا ِةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا ُﺔَﻨﻳِز َنﻮُﻨَﺒْﻟاَو ُلﺎَﻤْﻟا
َﻚﱢﺑَر َﺪﻨِﻋ ٌﺮْﻴَﺧ ُتﺎَﺤِﻟﺎﱠﺼﻟا ُتﺎَﻴِﻗﺎَﺒْﻟاَو ﺎَﻴ
ﺎًﻠَﻣَأ ٌﺮْﻴَﺧَو ﺎًﺑاَﻮَﺛ

"And put forward to them the example of the life of this world: it is like the water (rain) which We send down
from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But (later) it
becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allah is Able to do everything. Wealth and
children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds that last, are better with
your Rubb for rewards and better in respect of hope.''
(18:45,46)
َﺄْﻟاَو ِلاَﻮْﻣَﺄْﻟا ﻲِﻓ ٌﺮُﺛﺎَﻜَﺗَو ْﻢُﻜَﻨْﻴَﺑ ٌﺮُﺧﺎَﻔَﺗَو ٌﺔَﻨﻳِزَو ٌﻮْﻬَﻟَو ٌﺐِﻌَﻟ ﺎَﻴْﻧﱡﺪﻟا ُةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا ﺎَﻤﱠﻧَأ اﻮُﻤَﻠْﻋا
َرﺎﱠﻔُﻜْﻟا َﺐَﺠْﻋَأ ٍﺚْﻴَﻏ ِﻞَﺜَﻤَآ ِدﺎَﻟْو
ِةَﺮِﺧﺂْﻟا ﻲِﻓَو ﺎًﻣﺎَﻄُﺣ ُنﻮُﻜَﻳ ﱠﻢُﺛ اﺮَﻔْﺼُﻣ ُﻩاَﺮَﺘَﻓ ُﺞﻴِﻬَﻳ ﱠﻢُﺛ ُﻪُﺗﺎَﺒَﻧ
ُةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا ﺎَﻣَو ٌناَﻮْﺿِرَو ِﻪﱠﻠﻟا َﻦﱢﻣ ٌةَﺮِﻔْﻐَﻣَو ٌﺪﻳِﺪَﺷ ٌباَﺬَﻋ
ِروُﺮُﻐْﻟا ُعﺎَﺘَﻣ ﺎﱠﻟِإ ﺎَﻴْﻧﱡﺪﻟا

"Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and
rivalry in respect of wealth and children. (It is) as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is
pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the
Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers-evildoers), and (there is) forgiveness from Allah and
(His) Good Pleasure (for the believers-gooddoers). And the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment".
(57:20).
َو ِﺔﱠﻀِﻔْﻟاَو ِﺐَهﱠﺬﻟا َﻦِﻣ ِةَﺮَﻄﻨَﻘُﻤْﻟا ِﺮﻴِﻃﺎَﻨَﻘْﻟاَو َﻦﻴِﻨَﺒْﻟاَو ءﺎَﺴﱢﻨﻟا َﻦِﻣ ِتاَﻮَﻬﱠﺸﻟا ﱡﺐُﺣ ِسﺎﱠﻨﻠِﻟ َﻦﱢﻳُز
ِﺔَﻣﱠﻮَﺴُﻤْﻟا ِﻞْﻴَﺨْﻟا
ِبﺂَﻤْﻟا ُﻦْﺴُﺣ ُﻩَﺪﻨِﻋ ُﻪّﻠﻟاَو ﺎَﻴْﻧﱡﺪﻟا ِةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا ُعﺎَﺘَﻣ َﻚِﻟَذ ِثْﺮَﺤْﻟاَو ِمﺎَﻌْﻧَﻷاَو

َأ ْﻞُﻗ
اْﻮَﻘﱠﺗا َﻦﻳِﺬﱠﻠِﻟ ْﻢُﻜِﻟَذ ﻦﱢﻣ ٍﺮْﻴَﺨِﺑ ﻢُﻜُﺌﱢﺒَﻧُؤ
ِﻪّﻠﻟا َﻦﱢﻣ ٌناَﻮْﺿِرَو ٌةَﺮﱠﻬَﻄﱡﻣ ٌجاَوْزَأَو ﺎَﻬﻴِﻓ َﻦﻳِﺪِﻟﺎَﺧ ُرﺎَﻬْﻧَﻷا ﺎَﻬِﺘْﺤَﺗ ﻦِﻣ يِﺮْﺠَﺗ ٌتﺎﱠﻨَﺟ ْﻢِﻬﱢﺑَر َﺪﻨِﻋ
ِدﺎَﺒِﻌْﻟﺎِﺑ ٌﺮﻴِﺼَﺑ ُﻪّﻠﻟاَو

"Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth),
branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but Allah
has the excellent return (Jannah with flowing rivers) with Him.''
(3:14).
15.
Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the
presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval
from Allah. And Allah is Seeing [i.e., aware] of [His] servants –
ْﻟا ِﻪﱠﻠﻟﺎِﺑ ﻢُﻜﱠﻧﱠﺮُﻐَﻳ ﺎَﻟَو ﺎَﻴْﻧﱡﺪﻟا ُةﺎَﻴَﺤْﻟا ُﻢُﻜﱠﻧﱠﺮُﻐَﺗ ﺎَﻠَﻓ ﱞﻖَﺣ ِﻪﱠﻠﻟا َﺪْﻋَو ﱠنِإ ُسﺎﱠﻨﻟا ﺎَﻬﱡﻳَأ ﺎَﻳ
ُروُﺮَﻐ

ﱞوُﺪَﻋ ْﻢُﻜَﻟ َنﺎَﻄْﻴﱠﺸﻟا ﱠنِإ
ِﻟ ُﻪَﺑْﺰِﺣ ﻮُﻋْﺪَﻳ ﺎَﻤﱠﻧِإ اوُﺪَﻋ ُﻩوُﺬِﺨﱠﺗﺎَﻓ
ِﺮﻴِﻌﱠﺴﻟا ِبﺎَﺤْﺻَأ ْﻦِﻣ اﻮُﻧﻮُﻜَﻴ

"O mankind! Verily, the Promise of Allah is true. So let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief
deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allah.''
(35:5).
Competition in [worldly] increase diverted you
2.
Until you visited the graveyards
3.
No! but You are going to know.
4.
Then no! but You shall surely will know.
