46. And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme!
47. Wakanoo yaqooloona a-itha mitna wakunna turaban waAAi

aman a-inna
lamabAAoothoon
a
47. And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then
indeed be raised up again?-
48. Awa abaona al-awwaloon
a
48. "(We) and our fathers of old?"
